CRM (Customer Relationship Management) – CRM adoption has taken the business & technology world by storm over the last few years. Unsurprisingly, Microsoft is leading the charge with their Dynamics CRM software offering; with 3.5 million users and around 40,000 customers, it’s no wonder Microsoft Dynamics CRM has achieved it’s 35th quarter of double digit growth.
We’ve mentioned before that the Dynamics CRM 2013 upgrade is fast approaching, so let’s take a closer look at what this new installment will entail.
Dynamics CRM 2013 Roadmap
The next Dynamics CRM 2013 upgrade is slated for October, with subsequent upgrades coming in 2014. The first set of improvements focus on integration and UI improvements, providing such changes as social network support, guided processes, tablet support, and less clicks/pop-ups while navigating.
The license pricing model for the latest iteration of Dynamics CRM is changing dramatically, especially for the Dynamics CRM Online version. Instead of requiring the most expensive license type like many other CRM solutions, Microsoft has instigated a tiered pricing model; Professional (traditional, most popular option), Basic (limited versions of Professional services), and Essential (stripped down for users who only need access to custom applications). These new pricing tiers will allow mid-market and large enterprise customers the ability to mix & match license types for a more cost effective solution.
MarketingPilot Integration
Microsoft acquired MarketingPilot in late 2012, and they are finally bringing that technology to their Dynamics CRM 2013 offering. Though little is known about what that will entail, we do know that MarketingPilot aims to bridge the gap between B2C and B2B marketing strategies. This will allow marketers the ability to cater their campaigns to their target audience and keep track of assets/budgets all in one place. We will be bringing you more information on Dynamics CRM and MarketingPilot as it arrives.
There you have it! We’re only half way through 2013 and it’s already looking like 2014 will be a big year for Dynamics CRM. Contact an ECI representative today to find out more about how we can help you with your CRM and other business management needs.
